清水寺 - Kiyomizudera

Short Description

One of must-go-site in Kyoto, fantastic view can be obtained from the mountain next to the temple. Especially nightscape in autumn and spring is so impressive.

Location:

East area, so-called Higashiyama area

Access:

From JR Kyoto Station:
- Take City Bus #206 bound for Higasiyama-dori Kitaoji Bus Terminal at the north bus station at JR Kyoto station and get off at the Gojozaka Stop. Then walk 10 minutes toward mountain.
- Take City Bus #100 bound for Kiyomizu-dera Gion/Ginkaku-ji.
Kyoto Bus (operation on Saturdays and holidays only):
- Take #18 Kyoto bus bound for Ohara and get off at the Higashiyama Gojo Stop and walk 10 minutes toward mountain.
From Kiyomizu Gojo station on the Keihan railway line
- walk to the east approximately 25 minutes on foot
